2022

2022 was quite the year. It feels like it lasted forever, but at the same time, was over in the blink of an eye. I’m not sure I can say it was my best year ever and exceeded all my expectations, but there was definitely a lot of growth, changes, and adventures that I’m so grateful for!

I forgot about so many things that happened but got to relive some of my favorite moments when I was going back through photos.

  • January: Spent a lot of time with some of my favorite kiddos and started the first round The Creativity Course which was life changing!

  • February: Started decluttering my life, took advantage of snow days, and more laughter on a road trip with the kiddos.

  • March: Dog sat and expanded my social media skills.

  • April: Spent time with dear friends, worked a Prince Ivan tour date, spent Easter with the fam, and worked the Hooked! Songwriting Contest.

  • May: Turned 28 and celebrated in Hot Springs. Took advantage of the beautiful Ozarks.

  • June: A BIG month! Saw my niece in her first dance recital. Was asked to be a bridesmaid for one of my friends. Met my college roommate in Vegas for the Jonas Brothers, and made a quick stop in Utah on my way home. Announced our final full season for The Bretts. Attended my 10 year high school reunion.

  • July: Found out I was getting another NIECE! And got the vid…

  • August: Took my dad to Big Time Rush! Spent a lot of time crocheting.

  • September: Started my own company: the box gifting co.! Did a lot of prepping for Christmas season. Took a trip to Utah for The King Will Come filming.

  • October: Finished the huge project of creating our 20 page program for the Christmas show. Showered my baby niece. And showered the bride to be.

  • November: Opened A Brett Family Christmas. Spent many early mornings at the theater and got to see so many dear friends. My bestie came to visit. We opened The Nest and had the first events there.

  • December: Wrapped up the final shows. Celebrated Christmas. Welcomed my new baby niece into the world. Rang in the new year with the new Mr. and Mrs.

There were a lot of firsts. A lot of incredible memories made. A lot of tears shed. A lot of wins and goals achieved.

I’m grateful for my health. I’m grateful for deep friendships. I’m grateful for my people.

There have been many times this year that I’ve looked back on life and became so grateful for how far I’ve come. My favorite thing is knowing that I have a Mighty God that, though I fall short time and time again, loves me infinitely.

Here’s to 2023. I do believe this is my year.
