The Adventure of a Lifetime

I am a huge Jonas Brothers fan, have been since my junior high days. I was determined to see them perform in Vegas for their limited residency. So a few weeks ago I texted my college roommate and said, "Hey, want to go to Vegas to see the Jonas Brothers?" To which she said, "Is the sky blue?" And within minutes everything was booked!

Well, last week was the week! I fit sooo many things into just a few days!

My first stop: Vegas

I met Alyssa in Vegas! It was so good to see her in person after nearly three years. We took in many of the sights and the yummy, yummy foods! Wednesday night we ate at the Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill and explored Cesar's Palace. We then strolled through the Bellagio, including the Gardens and Fountains.

We spent Thursday afternoon at a tea room. It was a beautiful, relaxing, wonderful experience! We sat on the 23rd floor of the Waldorf Astoria, overlooking the strip, sipping tea and eating finger sandwiches and bite-sized desserts. And to finish off the stop, we spent Thursday night rocking out to the Jonas Brothers! It was all I dreamt of and so much more!

Stop two: Utah

After parting ways, I was able to make a quick stop in Utah to see my very dear friend Garon perform at Fork Fest! They have three stages at the event, and close to 30 performers on the lineup. Utah has a great music scene! It was fun to take in so many musicians and varieties of music.

Garon did an acoustic set on the Forest Stage, which is a really cool setup out in the trees. And to top it off, Aaron was out visiting too so he performed a tune with them :) Garon has lots of crazy talented friends and I love to just bask in their wonderfulness. I could be perfectly content sitting in their studio all day just listening to their rehearsals. For reals.

Ya know, I did so many things in those short few days but my favorite moments were simply being with those I love so very much! That’s the best part of this adventure we call life — experiencing it all with those you love most. By the end of the trip, I was so tired and felt like death, but I’ve never felt more alive!

Five days, four flights, three game nights, two stops, and one very tired Faith later... I'm home and very glad that I got to experience allllll the things, and all because I was so determined to see the Jonas Brothers in Vegas ;)
