Road Trip!
You know, sometimes you just gotta take a road trip!
My bestie and I have been friends since we were four. And since we could drive, we have talked about taking a road trip. We decided it was finally time to do it! Now was a better time than any!
So I flew to Denver to meet her and then we drove to Utah, Vegas, and back to Colorado. All within five days... It was 2000 miles on the road. 2000 miles of laughter, tears, heart to hearts, singing and dancing, and memories that will last a lifetime <3
First stop: Provo!
I love Utah! I'm glad we scheduled a stop here. I took her to Bridal Veil Falls, we walked Provo City Center, and I had to get chip cookies! Those Biscoff cookies are the most delicious cookies you will ever taste in your life. I dream of those cookies. And my friends took us to Red Taco and Rockwell Ice Cream. Now adding those to my list of favorite food spots in Provo!
It was so special to have some of my favorite people meet. My longest and closest friends. Gosh, I was one happy gal! I would have been totally satisfied if that would have been the end of our trip. I never wanted to leave!
Part of my heart will always live in the Utah mountains :) <3
Next stop: Las Vegas!
I had never been to Vegas so this was fun! There is so much to do, so much to see. Bright lights. Sights, sights, sights.
We tried to stick to a budget here. The only thing we really paid for was food and we splurged to go on the High Roller. Wow, highly recommend doing that! You can see the whole city from up there and we went as the sun was setting. Gorgeous!
We then just spent hours walking the strip. We saw the Bellagio fountains, the Bellagio Botanical Gardens, and the Flamingo Habitat. We walked through half the casinos and admired all the extravagant designs.
We caught the famous welcome sign on the way out the next day. And we had to stop for Secret Pizza too. I'm not a big pizza fan but that's probably the best pizza I've ever had! So good!
Then we headed back to Colorado. Stayed a brief night in the mountains before we parted ways.
What a time it was to spend with a dear friend. We didn't really have much planned. Just getting from Point A to Point B. I highly recommend taking a road trip like that!
100 hours. 2000 miles. A lifetime of memories <3
